Update 2013

It has been months since I last updated this blog.
Casey turned 14 on the 10th March and is looking fit and well for her age.
Here she is on her birthday.
Both her brother Joe and sister Elle are still good as well.

Spring

Spring has arrived at Fantail Ridge with the arrival
of 2 little fluff balls.
Mother hen is very protective so it has been
really hard to get photos.
On a very windy day I took the dogs to Fisherman's Rock
Whangaparoa. 2 Sep 2012
 Here they are nicely posing.
An earlier attempt which turned out to be a very good photo.

Rocky

Rocky gave us a scare 2 weeks ago when he appeared late and
was shaking like a leaf.  He couldn't stand and he had a congested chest.
I ended up taking him to the afterhours Vet and he was given pain relief.
The next day I dropped him off at our Vet and his pain was managed.
It was the week before the long weekend and as the vet fees were expensive, I
had to cancel my plans of going away.  Rocky also had antibiotics and I am the chief
medicine giver in our household.

Rocky is good now.  Here he is with Casey and Shilo.
These 3 are good and lie and wait when I sit on the seat at the top of the
driveway.  Poppy is somewhere ahead.

Cats, Dogs and Quilts

Chloe has her own quilt now.

Poppy also has her own quilt for these cold winter nights.
Here she is in bed with Ted.

Winter is coming!

Winter is on the way and the Garden Pixie is feeling the cold.
Chloe won't come upstairs so I made her a bed in this quilt.

Hamilton

Poppy gave me a fright a couple of weeks ago when I caught her
eating black nightshade.  I phoned the Vet and took her straight down.
They made her vomit and then suggested she stay in overnight for observation.
She was put on a drip and when I phoned next morning she was fine.

Here are Shilo and Poppy at Hamilton for the WAG Jumpers show.
The weather was perfect, Shilo was nearly perfect and Poppy was fit
and healthy.
